After spending five years in Pittsburgh, sportscaster Trenni Kusnierek is back in Milwaukee.

Kusnierek, who graduated from Muskego High School and Marquette University, left her job with FSN Pittsburgh and was plotting her next move when she decided to accept a job with FSN Wisconsin as a reporter on Brewers and Bucks broadcasts.

"After I left FSN, I was freelancing for the NFL Network and the Big Ten Network and I was thinking about exploring things outside the sports world like documentaries and long-form movies," Kusnierek said.

Then, FSN Wisconsin called ... again.

"They'd offered me a job before, but this time I took it," she said. "I talked to my parents about it. I remember my mom saying 'It's not like you went to Pittsburgh for six months and got homesick.' I gave it five years. Now, I'm back. I've found a great apartment. I'm close to my family and friends. It's great."

Kusnierek, who worked at Channel 58 before moving to Pittsburgh, will work as an in-game reporter during some Bucks games and will help Craig Coshun and Davey Nelson with Brewers' pre- and post-game shows.

"A lot of people ask me if I'm taking over for Craig Coshun or if someone got fired," she said. "That's not it at all. They're adding me because they're expanding the programming."
