Once again, Brewers fans have elected one of their own into the All-Star Game.
Corey Hart became the third Brewer to join the National League All-Star team after winning the "Final Vote" campaign on MLB.com. He joins Ryan Braun, voted into a starting role by the fans, and Ben Sheets, who was selected by the players, in the 79th Midsummer Classic, set for Tuesday at Yankee Stadium in New York.
Hart beat out David Wright of the Mets, Philadelphia's Pat Burrell, the Giants' Aaron Rowand and former Brewer Carlos Lee, who plays for Houston.
The right-fielder has been the Brewers' most-consistent hitter all season and is second among regulars with a .292 average. He's also hit 15 home runs with 57 RBIs and leads the team with 13 stolen bases.
Hart is the second Brewer to win the "Final Vote" ballot, joining Geoff Jenkins, who won in 2003.
